Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial & Major Range and Test Facilities Base to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Perform duties involving the renovation, demilitarization, modification, and normal maintenance of a variety of ammunition and explosives; destruction of munitions and components; and assembly of ammunition and explosives. Responsibilities Disassemble weapons such as rifles, carbines, mortars, pistols, revolvers, or machine gun for incidental work. Remove cartridges from rockets to re-install new components. Renovate artillery items into receptacles for demolition. Utilize powered wire brushes for maintenance of ammunition items. Remove corrosion of small arm ammunition by automatic machine.
