Fabrication Planning Coordinator

Department - Planning (Heavy Fabrication)

Key Responsibilities/Skill

• Prepare detailed production plans and schedules for heavy fabrication components and assemblies.
• Study drawings, specifications, and BOQs to determine material requirements and fabrication sequences.
• He must possess good knowledge of different kinds of materials.
• Knowledge of Fabrication Process, guidelines, Procedures & WPS and their application.
• Knowledge of facilities & capacities available in-house and with vendor.
• Knowledge of welding guidelines
• Knowledge of machining allowance
• Pre-planning of fabrication components Drawing, Coordinate with design, procurement, machining, and quality teams to ensure timely execution.
• Load balancing-Plan and allocate resources (machines, manpower, jigs & fixtures) to meet project timelines.
• Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) and update progress reports, highlighting bottlenecks.
• Plan outsourcing/subcontracting activities where required and follow up for timely completion.
• Implement lean manufacturing and cycle-time reduction initiatives in fabrication.
• Ensure compliance with welding procedures (WPS/PQR), quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Support cost estimation and planning for new product development and focus on cost reduction.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 & working on SAP Hana Module will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Microsoft projects for planning & scheduling for resource will be added advantage.
