KPMG has been appointed as the learning services partner to The Skills Academy - an exciting and innovative approach to skills development for the WA public sector workforce. This one sector approach to learning will deliver a comprehensive suite of courses via a new intuitive and modern technology platform to more than 35,000 staff across 56 participating agencies. 

Developed in partnership with more than 150 subject matter experts from across the WA public sector, 120 courses will be designed specifically for the WA public sector context. Courses will cover a wide range of skills and foundational knowledge required of a modern public sector workforce.

Your opportunity

The Facilitator Pool Lead oversees the day-to-day management of a pool of learning facilitators (largely comprising of external vendors) to deliver consistent, engaging and high quality learning to the WA public sector.

The Facilitator Pool Lead will oversee all end-to-end activities pertinent to the management of a facilitator, including sourcing, recruitment, facilitator capability development and performance management. Working closely with the Service Desk and Learning and Quality Assurance (QA) teams, the role will be critical to ensuring effective functioning of the Service Centre to deliver learning to over 35,000 public sector staff. Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast potential facilitator requirements based on anticipated learning demand and specific course requirements.
  • Design and implement targeted marketing campaigns to attract potential facilitator interest and participation in The Skills Academy.
  • Create job advertisements and prospective job briefs to clearly outline expectations, capabilities and compliance requirements.
  • Review and evaluate facilitator learning delivery effectiveness through a defined feedback and performance framework.
  • Schedule and allocate facilitators to training sessions based on demand capacity, availability and capability requirements.
  • Work closely with the Management Intelligence team to support the tracking of facilitator utilisation and performance in alignment with agreed performance metrics.
  • Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in managing a large team of learning facilitators.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage scheduling and resource allocation effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and establish effective relationships inside and outside the organisation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365 tools.
  • Ability to analyse data and translate it into actionable insights.
