Facilities Project Engineer- HVAC/ Utilities, 

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to oversee design review, execution, and commissioning of HVAC systems and Process Utility systems from large-scale Semiconductor, FMCG, Solar and Pharmaceutical projects. The role involves end-to-end project management, including stakeholder coordination (PMC, GC, and sub-vendors), ensuring compliance with international standards, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:
 

• Monitor and review the work of GC, PMC, and sub-vendors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and escalate any deviations, delays, or quality issues to the client management team.
• Review engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, PFDs, equipment sizing calculations, data sheets, and technical specifications.
• Validate designs for compliance with API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, IS codes, ASHRAE, SMACNA, and cGMP guidelines.
• Ensure correct integration of HVAC and Process Utility systems into project scope.
• Review vendor documents, GA drawings, and layout for correctness and constructability.
• Plan and monitor execution activities for HVAC and Process Utility systems across multiple work fronts.
• Coordinate with PMC, General Contractors, and sub-vendors for timely execution and issue resolution.
• Drive construction sequencing, resource allocation, and contractor mobilization plans.
• Prepare and maintain look-ahead schedules, execution plans, and progress reports.
• Monitor material availability, site logistics, and manpower deployment.
• Supervise execution of Chiller Systems, AHUs, FCUs, VRF Systems, and Cleanroom HVAC Systems.
• Pressurization systems, exhaust systems, and hazardous area HVAC compliance.
• Ensure proper ducting, insulation, and balancing works as per project requirements.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of all the Utilities (DIW, WWTP, CDA, Cooling Towers, Gas Separation system, Fire protection, Inert Gas systems, Chiller and HVAC Systems.

• Supervise equipment erection, alignment, piping installation, ducting, and system integration.
• Lead pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including functional testing and performance validation.
• Drive punch list closure and ensure timely handover to clients.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, approved drawings, and QA/QC procedures.
• Implement HSE protocols, participate in safety audits, and resolve site safety concerns.
• Conduct method statements and risk assessments for major activities.
• Maintain up-to-date site progress reports, inspection records, and commissioning documentation.
• Provide inputs for as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and project close-out dossiers.


Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).\
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in execution of HVAC and Process Utilities in Semiconductor/Pharmaceutical/FMCG and Solar related projects.

Technical Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, VRFs, cleanroom systems) and mechanical utilities (steam, air, water systems).
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment sizing, and layouts for execution.
• Proficiency in project planning tools (Primavera/MS Project) and site coordination techniques.

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive cross-functional coordination.
