Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Civil Engineer – Structural & Civil Works to lead project execution, structural design review, and coordination activities for large-scale industrial or high-tech facility projects. This role requires expertise in structural engineering principles, site execution, safety compliance, and vendor management, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of civil and structural works.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Monitor and review the work of GC, PMC, and sub-vendors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and escalate any deviations, delays, or quality issues to the client management team.
• Review construction schedules and ensure work progress aligns with project timelines.
• Oversee earthworks, foundations, superstructure works, RCC & steel structures, industrial flooring, and finishing works.
• Ensure implementation of HSE standards, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
• Inspect ongoing works for adherence to approved GFC drawings, codes, and specifications.
• Review structural drawings, P&IDs, PFDs, and BOQs for correctness and constructability.
• Validate structural design calculations, load analysis, and reinforcement detailing.
• Approve construction methodologies for deep foundations, retaining walls, concrete structures, and pre-engineered building (PEB) systems.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes, ACI, BS, Eurocodes, and project-specific standards.
• Identify and recommend value engineering opportunities to optimize cost and schedule.
• Interface with PMC, GC, consultants, and sub-vendors for design clarifications and execution strategies.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and utilities teams to avoid service clashes.
• Conduct weekly/monthly review meetings for progress updates and issue resolution.
• Manage vendor performance and enforce contractual obligations.
• Implement and monitor QA/QC plans for all civil and structural works.
• Conduct inspections for concrete quality, reinforcement checks, alignment, and finishing.
• Review and approve material submittals (cement, aggregates, structural steel, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, environmental norms, and internal quality policies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports with key metrics.
• Maintain as-built drawings, test reports, and commissioning documentation.
• Manage closure of punch lists, NCRs, and site audit observations.
Required Qualifications:
• in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Structural Engineering preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 10+ years in civil/structural execution for large industrial, infrastructure, or semiconductor projects.
Technical Skills Required:
• Structural Design Tools: STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE
• Drafting & Modeling: AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks
• Project Planning: MS Project / Primavera P6
• QA/QC & Standards: IS codes, ACI, BS, Eurocodes, ASTM
• Construction Techniques: RCC, Steel Structures, Precast Systems, PEB
• Survey & Alignment: Total Station, Level Instruments
• Documentation Tools: MS Office Suite, BIM tools
• Material Testing Knowledge: Concrete mix design, NDT, soil investigation
