Facilities Summer Student

Position Summary

Perth County is recruiting for the position of Facilities Summer Student to assist with and learn various maintenance activities performed within the Facilities Division.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with general facility maintenance on County owned buildings in accordance with O. Reg. 332/12: Building Code
• Provide grounds maintenance, including flowers and lawn care/maintenance
• Assist with facility problem diagnostics and solutions

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain city vehicle, equipment and tools in good/safe working condition
• Maintain detailed daily logs
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping
• Lift, handle and carry equipment, supplies, and materials
