Job Description
Our expanding law practice is looking for a paralegal with strong knowledge of all aspects of Family Law who can hit the ground running as we build our perfect team.
You will be a member of a dynamic and developing team. Applicants must be experienced, well-organized professionals who can work alone and with minimal supervision.
Because this is a full-time position, you must work 40 hours a week both in the office and virtually. Compensation is negotiable based on experience, with the option of obtaining bonus compensation for excellent performance.
Compensation:$70,000 - $115,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Calculate, track, and meet deadlines on all deliverables
- Communicate with clients to ensure proper service, answer basic process-oriented questions about their case, and gather information about their legal issues
- Analyze and maintain an organizational system for discovery and records
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence, affidavits, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, and legal briefs under the supervision of a lawyer
- Read financial statements and prepare financial disclosures
Qualifications:
- Experience as a paralegal working closely with attorneys and clients on [[type of cases]]
- Experience with standard office equipment: scanner, copier, printer
- This position requires you to agree to participate in a 20-question written interview that examines your knowledge, abilities, qualifications, habits, and behaviors (including attention to detail, communication skills, and technical legal knowledge)
- Knowledge of standard office administration software such as the internet, email, word processing, case management, time and billing, legal research, and document management is required
- Excellent organizational skills and time-management skills

- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks, so we never miss a deadline
- 10+ years of previous experience working in Family Law in Washington is required
- 2 years minimum at a firm
- Experience in training and leading junior paralegals and legal assistants
