Job Description

  • Hospitalists self-schedule
  • 15- 16 shifts per month
  • 12-hour rounding shift;s 7a-7p
  • 10-hour admitting shifts; staggered: 11a-9p, 12p-10p, 3p-1a
  • 6-hour admitting shift; 5p-11p
  • Overnights; 9p-7a; there are dedicated Nocturnists
  • Open ICU with intensivist availability to consult
  • Full spectrum of specialty support available

    • Responsibilities
  • Average census of 13-15 patients
  • No required procedures; option to do some limited ultrasound procedures
  • Hospitalists are primary responders for codes unless intensivist takes over
  • Overnight shifts covered by Nocturnists/Telehospitalists
  • Average of 30 admits per day
  • Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling
