Job Summary
The F&B Captain is responsible for supervising restaurant service operations, ensuring high standards of guest satisfaction, and leading the service team during shifts. The role requires strong leadership, service excellence, and coordination with kitchen and management teams.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate day-to-day restaurant service operations
Lead, guide, and motivate service staff to deliver excellent guest service
Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and overall dining area presentation
Take guest orders, ensure accurate service, and handle special requests
Address guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and correct food delivery
Monitor service quality and maintain F&B service standards
Train new staff and support ongoing team development
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and company policies
Assist in inventory checks, stock control, and minimizing wastage
Support management in achieving sales targets and operational efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in Food & Beverage service, preferably as a Captain or Senior Steward
Strong leadership and team-handling skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Sound knowledge of food, beverages, menu planning, and service styles
Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving skills
Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and service SOPs
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality
Experience in hotels, fine dining restaurants, or premium casual dining
