FBS Underwriting Inspections Representative

The FBS Underwriting Inspections team reviews inspection findings from outside vendors, determines repair or outcome decisions, and evaluates the cost components for home replacement.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and determine eligibility for new and renewal home policies using current acceptable maintenance & condition expectations (AMCE) and underwriting judgment based on physical inspections, aerial imagery, and other data sources.
- Validate home replacement cost accuracy submitted by the agency and the inspection vendor to ensure correct risk classification and update policies accordingly.
- Respond to agents, customers, and licensed staff inquiries via chat or email regarding inspection decisions, general questions, and AMCE underwriting concerns.
- Share observations, insights, and learnings on underwriting new and renewal inspections and replacement cost evaluations with underwriting and product leadership to inform future guidelines.
- Participate in calibration sessions, business review meetings, and underwriting business meetings to build personal and team skill sets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred).
- Experience in the insurance industry required.
- Proficient with CRM platforms such as Guidewire for managing inspections and customer data.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Fluency in English.
