Job Description
Responsible for performing finite element analysis (FEA) to identify structural failure modes and provide practical, cost-effective solutions to design and product engineers. The role involves supporting multiple projects, leveraging CAE tools, and collaborating with product leadership to enhance product performance and competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute finite element analysis for structural stability, vibration, thermal-mechanical, and safety-related evaluations.
- Identify different structural failure modes and provide practical solutions to design and product engineers.
- Utilize CAE tools including Ansys, Hypermesh, Abaqus, Nastran, and perform DFMEA.
- Create 3D models using SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or Creo software.
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously, including small cross-functional initiatives.
- Collaborate with Product Leadership teams to improve product performance and competitiveness.
- Contribute to design practice knowledge sharing and align local team competencies with global standards.
- Comply with organizational HR policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering field.
- Proven experience in FEA and CAE tools (Ansys, Hypermesh, Abaqus, Nastran).
- Hands-on experience with 3D CAD modeling using SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or Creo.
