TekCom Resources is seeking a Fiber Splicer in Columbus, OH for a direct hire role with a fast-growing fiber construction firm!
In this role, you will be splicing fiber optic cables in the air and underground. This is a full time opportunity working at sites in and around Columbus; some travel within the area may be required, though this will likely not include overnight travel.
Job Responsibilities:
• As part of a team, prepare, splice and troubleshoot fiber optic cable.
• Install, repair and maintain fiber optic splice closures and distribution panels.
• Ability to work in Underground manhole systems, aerial plant, and customer premises.
• Experienced with fiber optic fusion machines Fujikura, Sumitomo, Fitel, etc. for splicing.
• Work in conjunction with field engineering to update records.
• Coordinate service delivery with multiple departments.
• On-Call for service outages
