Job Description
Join NOV’s MD Totco team as a Service Engineer, where you’ll play a critical role in keeping industry-leading drilling technologies operating safely, efficiently, and profitably around the world. In this global role, you’ll be responsible for the inspection, repair, and servicing of NOV equipment across both offshore and onshore environments.
As part of our aftermarket service group, you’ll work closely with customers to diagnose issues, respond rapidly to equipment-down situations, and deliver practical recommendations that maximise system performance and uptime. You’ll support service and repair projects across a range of advanced products, including RigSense, E-Wildcat, SoftSpeed, and Block Control systems, applying your strong technical foundation to interpret engineering drawings, troubleshoot faults, and make minor system modifications where required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service, repair, overhaul, inspect, and fault-find NOV MD Totco equipment globally (onshore and offshore). Respond to emergency equipment-down situations and provide 24/7 on-call technical support when required. Diagnose issues using engineering drawings and schematics, including redlining and implementing corrective actions. Support I&C and service projects, delivering timely repairs without compromising safety or quality. Advise customers on equipment maintenance, upgrades, software updates, and product improvements. Recommend actions to improve system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with customers, providing regular status updates and service documentation. Escalate critical faults or product failures and drive issues through to resolution with internal teams. Promote HSE compliance, incident prevention, and adherence to internal policies and industry legislation. Collaborate with management, engineering, quality, HSE, and other operational teams to drive continuous improvement. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
