The Company
A global industrial technology organisation supplying advanced food processing, automation and digital solutions to manufacturers across meat, poultry, seafood and prepared foods, with a strong focus on efficiency, food safety and long-term operational performance.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role for a technically capable Field Service Engineer who enjoys working directly with customers and advanced equipment in a fast-moving environment.

The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide technical support for both installed systems and new equipment installations at customer sites. This role combines preventative maintenance, fault finding, system optimisation and customer engagement.

You’ll work closely with customers to ensure equipment performance, reliability and service expectations are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative maintenance visits, including preparation, execution and reporting
  • Attend customer sites to diagnose and resolve production and equipment issues
  • Perform breakdown and repair services on high-technology food processing equipment
  • Install machine upgrades and enhancements, testing and calibrating equipment to specification
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system faults
  • Support new installations and commissioning activities
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with customer management and site teams

What We’re Looking For

  • Industrial electrical trade background or equivalent experience
  • PLC knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair complex control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and circuit diagrams
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (FMCG highly regarded)
  • Familiarity with conveyors, process lines, motors, VSDs and automation equipment
  • Flexibility to work weekends or out-of-hours when required

If you’re looking for a technically challenging role where no two days are the same and where your expertise genuinely adds value for customers, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
