Department Summary
The Field Services / Technical Expert Services team within South America Sales & Services delivers specialized on-site technical support, ensuring optimal performance of FLS equipment throughout its lifecycle. From commissioning to advanced technical assistance, we act as a trusted partner to mining customers in southern Peru.
Role Summary
As a Field Service Engineer HPGR, you will provide specialized technical support to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of FLS HPGR equipment installed at customer sites.
This role combines deep technical expertise, site-based execution, direct customer interaction, and collaboration with global teams—playing a key role in operational excellence and value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Support
Provide expert technical advice to internal and external customers during execution, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of HPGR equipment.
Analyze, diagnose, and monitor operational conditions of installed equipment.
Prepare detailed technical reports with findings and improvement recommendations.
Conduct follow-up meetings with local teams and factory specialists.
Services & Projects
Plan and execute commissioning, installation, and operational support services.
Deliver spot services, audits, and operational assistance.
Support turnkey maintenance activities.
Size resources and support the preparation of technical-commercial proposals.
Technical & Commercial Support
Provide technical support to the commercial team for product sales.
Develop technical reports for rebuilds, upgrades, and new opportunities.
Identify on-site opportunities and contribute to business development.
Safety & Management
Strictly comply with internal and external safety procedures and risk analysis.
Manage and report safety KPIs.
Support claim resolution processes and internal management tools.
Promote knowledge sharing and technical standardization within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in mining processes, maintenance, or operations.
Experience with HPGR technology (preferred).
Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
Ability to maximize equipment reliability and productivity.
Desirable knowledge:
Mechanical software
Hydraulic systems
Metrology and tribology
NDT diagnostics
Intermediate English (preferred).
Willingness to work on-site and travel to mining operations.
