Role Overview:
The Field Service Engineer will play a key role in providing technical support, maintenance, and optimization for high-performance pharmaceutical packaging machinery. This position involves both on-site and remote service activities, ensuring equipment reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across the region.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform on-site service activities, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, machine overhauls, and performance optimization.

  • Support assembly, testing, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) of new machines at global manufacturing sites.

  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) at customer facilities, including user training and technical documentation updates.

  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to assist customers in resolving operational and performance issues.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve complex technical challenges and identify root causes.

  • Recommend and implement technical upgrades, modifications, and modernization solutions to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.

  • Prepare necessary tools, spare parts, and documentation before site visits to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

  • Maintain detailed service reports outlining activities performed, outstanding issues, and proposed actions.

  • Follow up on unresolved matters to ensure full customer satisfaction and completion of service commitments.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the service department.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.

  • 4–6 years of experience in field service or maintenance within the pharmaceutical or packaging machinery industry.

  • Solid hands-on experience with PLC and HMI systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Elau, or Rexroth).

  • Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in English (spoken and written); Chinese language skills are an advantage.

  • Excellent customer service mindset and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across Southeast Asia and internationally as required.
