Field Service Technical Officer

Overview

As part of our Naval Combat Systems group The Field Service Technical Officer role is responsible for the sustainment of the Saab 9LV Combat System products for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) including the interface of underwater sensors radar and weapons systems communications navigation aids and electronic warfare systems.

Responsible for the upgrade updating and upkeep of advanced military Combat System equipment onboard Royal Australian Navy ships and support facilities with support to the Anzac Class (FFH) Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) Landing Helicopter Docks (LHD) Auxiliary Oiler Replenisher (AOR) and Hobart Class Destroyers (DDG).

The role is accountable for the serviceability readiness and accuracy of the Combat Systems which will see you operating systems and monitoring performance to identify and correct operational faults.
