Role Summary:
Flowserve’s Field Service Team is responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of Flowserve pumps and related equipment across a broad range of industries, including oil & gas, chemical, nuclear, power generation, and wastewater.
We are seeking a Field Service Technician who will perform on‑site servicing, repairs, and maintenance across a wide variety of pumping equipment. Work takes place primarily at customer locations such as factories, chemical plants, pumping stations, refineries, offshore platforms, and other industrial facilities. Responsibilities include equipment removal and installation, inspection, refurbishment, commissioning, troubleshooting, and completing service reports in electronic format.
Your Role:
Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and general service activities for Flowserve and competitor equipment at customer sites.
Interface directly with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers supporting critical service work.
Respond to technical information requests and redirect inquiries to internal experts as needed.
Conduct diagnostics and repairs of pumps (mechatronic products) both in the field and in the workshop.
Perform troubleshooting, fault analysis, and equipment assessments.
Carry out mechanical assembly work at customer sites and within the Flowserve QRC workshop when required.
Ensure compliance with quality standards in all service tasks.
Adapt, modify, and optimize system components, hardware, and software parameters according to customer specifications.
Monitor repair quality, conduct testing procedures, analyze defects, and contribute to preventive quality improvements.
Your Profile:
Completed mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification.
Strong fitting and mechanical skills, with experience in small and modular pumping packages.
Solid knowledge of pumps and mechanical seals.
Experience with laser alignment equipment (preferred).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience in the chemical, power, or oil & gas industries.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Willingness to travel on short notice, work outside normal hours as needed, and spend periods away from home.
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and ability to work within customer permit‑to‑work systems.
Good command of English (oral and written) for reporting and customer communication.
Proficiency in PC use and standard software applications; SAP R/3 experience is an advantage.
