As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be the trusted expert ensuring our cutting-edge systems perform at their best every day. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you’ll travel to customer sites across NSW to deliver hands-on service, preventive maintenance, and performance optimisation for Visy-supplied technology systems. This role suits a technically minded trades professional with mechanical and electrical expertise who enjoys solving problems, building customer relationships, and keeping production technology running smoothly.


What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing of Visy-supplied technology systems.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and identify potential faults before they escalate.

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to minimise downtime.

  • Coordinate spare parts ordering and ensure availability prior to site visits.

  • Recommend efficiency and reliability improvements pre- and post-installation.

  • Maintain accurate service records, including repairs, maintenance, and parts used.

  • Provide on-site training and guidance to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.

  • Uphold all safety standards and foster a proactive safety culture on-site.

    • What You Will Bring:

  • Trade qualification in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics discipline.

  • Hands-on trade experience, ideally within manufacturing or industrial automation.

  • Proven field service experience with strong troubleshooting capability.

  • Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance documentation systems.

  • Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.

    • You’ll also have the flexibility to travel to customer sites, occasionally work outside standard hours, and hold a current driver’s licence.
