Field Structured Cabling Technician

Job Summary

The Structured Cabling Technician will be responsible for the installation, termination, testing, labelling, and documentation of structured cabling systems for data, voice, and security networks. The role requires strong hands-on skills, adherence to cabling standards, and disciplined execution across commercial, government, and high-security project environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install structured cabling systems including Cat6/Cat6A copper and optical fiber.
• Perform cable pulling, routing, dressing, and fixing as per approved layouts.
• Terminate cables on patch panels, I/O points, racks, and network cabinets.
• Carry out labelling, rack organization, and cable management.
• Test copper and fiber links using certified testers and submit test reports.
• Support installation of LAN, Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control, and ELV network backbones.
