Field Technician cum Driver - FTTH/Fiber

The Role

• Install and terminate fiber optic cables at customer premises (FTTH).
• Configure and mount ONT (Optical Network Terminal) and Wi‑Fi routers.
• Perform light‑level testing using optical power meters and troubleshoot signal issues.
• Splice fiber if required and ensure proper cable management.
• Set up internet services with proper router settings (SSID password DHCP etc.).
• Maintain detailed installation and fault‑handling records.
• Provide customer education on installed services.
• Connect customers to the fiber network (drop cable routing and termination).
• Use fusion splicer to join fibers where needed.
• Install configure and test ONT and home router.
• Check signal strength and rectify poor connections.
• Document work done and report faults to backend/NOC.
• Maintain tools and safety during site visits.
