About the position

The Finance & Accounting Specialist, LATAM role is responsible for supporting tax compliance, accounting operations, and financial reporting across the LATAM region. This position plays a key role in ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely financial information, while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and regional teams. The role combines technical accounting and tax knowledge with analytical and cross-functional support responsibilities.

Responsabilities

• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns for the LATAM region, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and deadlines.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities for tax optimization.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary financial data and documentation for tax audits and inquiries.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and USGAAP standards.
• Support the Finance & Accounting Manager LATAM in monthly accounting closings, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Provide guidance and training to finance and accounting staff on tax and accounting matters.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements that may impact the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficiency in tax calculations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
• Familiarity with IFRS and USGAAP is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and SAP S/4HANA (FI Module)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English or Portuguese is a plus.
