THE ROLE

As the Finance Coordinator, you will support our financial operations by managing various financial tasks and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. You will play a vital role in maintaining our financial health and supporting our teams through efficient financial management. The Financial Coordinator will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Director of Operations.

The Finance Coordinator is responsible for handling bi-weekly payroll processing, assisting with purchase orders, inventory planning, and budgeting. You will manage accounts receivable, including collections, account reconciliations, and reporting, as well as accounts payable, including processing bills, managing vendor contracts, and performing account reconciliations. Additionally, you will assist with financial reporting and reconciliation processes for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities, and help prepare financial reports on a weekly and monthly basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and related matters.
  • Support purchase orders, inventory planning, budgeting, and other related tasks.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including collections, account reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Handle accounts payable, including processing bills, managing vendor contracts, and performing account reconciliations and follow-ups.
  • Manage and review project-related budgets for cost control.
  • Compile necessary data to assist in Financial Team's efforts in building Finance Strategy for sustainable and high velocity company growth.
  • Assist with financial reporting and reconciliation processes for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.
  • Help prepare estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports on a weekly and monthly basis and as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE'S

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks Online, MS Office Suite & Google Drive
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

NICE TO HAVE'S

  • Working towards a CPA designation
  • Experience in a retail environment
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting
