The Finance Head – India will lead all finance, accounting, and compliance activities for the India entity while playing a critical role in global financial consolidation and reporting across international entities. This role requires strong IFRS expertise, end-to-end controllership ownership , and experience operating in a Fintech or highly regulated financial services environment .

Key Responsibilities

India Finance Leadership

  • Act as the Finance Head for India, overseeing end-to-end financial operations, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Own India entity financial statements, audits, tax filings, and regulatory submissions.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls, risk management frameworks, and financial governance standards.

Global Consolidation & Financial Reporting

  • Lead monthly and quarterly accounting and bookkeeping across multiple international entities.
  • Deliver accurate and timely management reports, board packs, and financial insights for leadership.
  • Ensure strict adherence to group accounting policies and IFRS standards .
  • Coordinate and manage entity-level and group audits with external auditors.

Multi-Entity Accounting & Process Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across geographies, ensuring compliance with both IFRS and local statutory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, financial controls, and reporting automation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support new product launches and assess financial implications.
  • Improve reconciliations, chart of accounts structure, and month-end close efficiency.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with senior finance leadership and business heads across regions.
  • Act as the primary finance partner for India and global stakeholders.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, regulators, and banking partners to ensure smooth financial operations.

Candidate Profile

Must-Have

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of post-qualification experience .
  • Mandatory experience in the Fintech industry or regulated digital financial services .
  • Strong expertise in IFRS, group consolidation, and multi-entity accounting .
  • Experience working in a global, multi-country environment .
  • Proven track record in statutory audits, financial reporting, and controllership.

Preferred

  • Experience in high-growth or scaling organizations.
  • Exposure to APAC regulatory frameworks (e.g., MAS, ASIC).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and finance automation tools.
