Role Overview

We are a fast-growing EdTech startup looking for an Accounts Payable Lead who can independently own the Procure-to-Pay function. This role is for someone who enjoys clarity, ownership, and building strong processes in a zero-hierarchy, high-trust environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end Accounts Payable / Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations

  • Process PO and Non-PO invoices with accurate 3-way matching

  • Manage vendor payments, ageing, and reconciliations using Zoho Books

  • Handle month-end activities including accruals and provisions

  • Ensure GST and TDS compliance related to vendor transactions

  • Lead and guide a team of 2 3 AP team members

  • Work closely with the Finance Controller and Associate Director Finance on audits and other assignments.

  • Coordinate with procurement, operations, and business teams

  • Drive process improvements and automation aligned with startup needs

Qualification & Experience

  • CA / CMA (Semi-Qualified) OR MBAwith 6 7 years of Accounts Payable / P2P experience

  • Prior experience in EdTech / Startup environment preferred

  • Strong hands-on experience with Zoho Books is mandatory

  • Proven team handling and mentoring experience

Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, vendor management, and reconciliations

  • Good understanding of GST, TDS, and audit requirements

  • Clear communication and strong coordination with cross-functional teams

  • Ownership mindset and ability to work independently
