Role OverviewThe Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, accounting operations, compliance, and financial reporting. The role requires strong control over cash flows, statutory compliance, and financial discipline to support sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Budgeting- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with organizational goals
- Monitor budget utilization and highlight variances with corrective recommendations
- Support leadership with financial insights for strategic decision-making
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial processes
- Manage cash flow, fund utilization, and working capital requirements
- Plan and monitor fee collections, vendor payments, and operational expenses
- Coordinate with banks for transactions, limits, and financial instruments
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements including:
- GST, TDS, Income Tax
- PF, ESI (if applicable)
- Coordinate audits (internal, statutory, tax) and ensure timely closure of audit observations
- Maintain documentation and records as per legal and regulatory standards
- Prepare and present MIS reports, dashboards, and financial summaries to management
- Provide program-wise, center-wise, or project-wise financial analysis
- Track profitability, cost efficiency, and financial risks
- Manage vendor payments, contracts, and cost negotiations
- Coordinate with academic, HR, operations, and administration teams on financial matters
- Support leadership during investor, auditor, or regulatory interactions
- Lead and mentor the finance/accounts team
- Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and financial discipline across departments
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA Finance / M.Com preferred
- 6–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in:
- Education / EdTech / Services sector
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards and taxation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
- Salary will be depending on last drawn
