Job Title:
Finance Manager – Financial Reporting & Project Accounting
Job Summary:
Responsible for financial reporting, accounting for foreign subsidiaries & associates, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies. The role involves monitoring project costs, receivables, inventory, and risk management while supporting strategic planning and capability building.
Goals / Key Result Areas:
Preparation of financial reports - Cost variance, trend analysis, Profitability analysis and Actual Vs Budget
- Validating financial analysis of all projects by tracking each project progress milestone, profitability
- Monitoring cost of the project & identifying key trends
- Monitoring key cost drivers to ensure profitability goals are aligned
Project receivables, Supplier payments and Contractual obligations tracking
- Monitoring supplier payments and coordinating with Corporate finance team for critical fund-based/non-fund-based requirements for smooth functioning of the projects
- Monitoring product business and guiding with respect to benefits available under GST/Custom/Export and compliances of law
- Facilitate account reconciliations with customers / suppliers for Communication BU
- Effectively tracking SAT-IC-Bills Submission Receivables with respect to all projects
- Chase BU for unlocking of receivables wherever logically possible
Inventory Management
- Control and ensure immediate disposal of project inventory
- Coordinating with supply chain to create effective procurement plan to minimize inventory
- Monitor replacement / warranty costs and sale / re-sale of materials returned back
- Be part of contract negotiations with supplier and service vendors
- Institute a system of periodical physical verification of inventory lying at various locations
Insurance claims, Risk Management & project/internal/statutory audits
- Continuously monitoring claim settlement through tracker to avoid any risk to the business
- Adherence to timelines for project audits
- Ensuring timely renewal of insurance policies
Preparation of AoP & Credit period monitoring
- Providing support to BU Head and Corporate Finance team to finalize Annual operating plan
- Monitoring cost with reference to AOP
- Supporting Supply Chain team in finalizing commercials & ensuring cost control
- Approvals for NFAs raised based on the cost considered in AOPs and suggest better payment terms
