Job Title: Finance Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a strong background in the staffing and recruitment industry, preferably supporting European markets. The role will be responsible for end-to-end finance, accounting, bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and reporting across multiple EU countries.

This position is critical in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with country-specific regulations, and smooth financial operations for staffing, contracting, and Employer of Record (EOR) engagements.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Accounting

Manage end-to-end finance operations for staffing and recruitment business across multiple European countries

Oversee general ledger, bookkeeping, month-end and year-end close

Ensure accurate revenue recognition for staffing, contracting, and EOR models

Manage payroll accounting for permanent employees, contractors, and consultants across EU countries

Handle intercompany accounting and cross-border cost allocations

Compliance & Statutory Requirements

Ensure compliance with country-specific accounting standards, labor-linked financial obligations, and statutory filings across Europe

Manage VAT registrations, filings, reconciliations, and audits (including reverse charge mechanisms)

Coordinate with local accountants, tax advisors, payroll providers, and auditors in various EU countries

Support statutory audits and internal audits

Billing, Collections & Cash Flow

Oversee client invoicing, credit notes, and reconciliations

Manage accounts receivable, collections, and cash flow forecasting

Monitor margins, and profitability by client, country, and service line

Ensure timely vendor and payroll payments

Budgeting, Reporting & Controls

Prepare monthly MIS, management dashboards, and financial reports for leadership

Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Establish and strengthen financial controls, SOPs, and process automation

Support decision-making by providing insights on pricing, margins, and cost optimization

Stakeholder & Business Support

Act as a finance business partner to sales, operations, HR, and legal teams

Support new country setups, EOR model structuring, and pricing calculations

Assist in client due diligence, RFPs, and commercial proposals from a finance perspective


Experience

8–12 years of overall finance and accounting experience

Mandatory experience in a staffing, recruitment, or EOR company

Hands-on experience managing finance for multiple European countries

Strong exposure to EU payroll, VAT, invoicing, and statutory compliance



Technical Skills

Expertise in VAT, payroll accounting, and cross-border transactions

Advanced proficiency in Excel / financial modeling

Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset

Ability to manage multiple countries and stakeholders simultaneously

Excellent communication skills, especially with external partners and auditors

Strong knowledge of IFRS / local GAAP applicable in Europe preferred

Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-growing environments


Preferred Qualifications

CA / CPA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent)

Prior experience supporting EOR, PEO, or global staffing models

Experience working with remote, distributed, or cross-border teams
