THE ROLE

As a Senior Finance Manager with a focus on execution, your pivotal role revolves around overseeing the day-to-day financial operations and transactions within the organisation. This entails implementing financial plans, managing routine financial tasks, and ensuring the operational efficiency of financial processes. Your responsibilities are crucial to maintaining the smooth and accurate execution of financial activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute and manage day-to-day financial operations for South Africa, India and Singapore entities. 

• Oversee end-to-end finance operations including AR, AP, payroll accounting, billing, and general ledger.

• Closely monitor receivables, credit terms, collections, and client aging.

• Timesheet review/approval, Customer Invoice management & Customer Payments - ensuring accuracy, urgency & tenacity and escalations for these activities.

• Accurate preparation and timely filing of Tax, GST, and VAT returns, adhering to statutory deadlines.

• Participate in managing Expense Claims & Salaries - ensuring accuracy and compliance. Also, oversee global payroll platforms like deel.com or remote.com.

• Build and maintain transparent relationships with stakeholders as well as with CAs in all the regions. 

• Generate precise, timely financial reports, cash-flow management while adhering to accounting standards.

• Implement measures to minimize potential financial risks & due diligence actions.

• Demonstrate adaptability and problem-solving skills to navigate and find effective solutions when encountering new or unforeseen financial situations.

• Execute approved strategies for identified growth opportunities.

• Evaluate and execute improvements in financial systems and technology.

• Take complete ownership of Zoho Books implementation and usage.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial management and operations, preferably in a multinational setting.

• Experience in contract staffing business or a related industry would be beneficial.

• Ability to adapt to changing business environments and priorities.

• Strong attention to detail in financial reporting, compliance, and auditing processes.

• In-depth knowledge and experience in tax management, including GST, VAT, and local tax regulations in the operational regions.

• Familiarity with financial systems and technology related to tax and compliance processes.

• Hybrid work model with a requirement to work from the office 2 days per week.

QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

• Intermediate CA or similar certification.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
