KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Controllership & Financial Integrity

• Own end-to-end R2R (GL, journals, close, reconciliations, periodical Financial Statements)

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of books

• Drive predictable month-end close (T+5 days)

• Maintain audit-ready documentation and trails

2. Payments, Cash & Controls

• Design and enforce payment processes (maker–checker, approvals)

• Ensure zero missed or duplicate payments

• Establish daily and weekly cash visibility

• Own approval matrices and financial authority frameworks

3. Process Design & SOPs

• Document and standardize AP, AR, Close, Payments, Compliance processes

• Replace heroics with checklists, calendars, and discipline

• Ensure processes scale with average talent

4. Systems & Automation Discipline

• Enforce ERP hygiene (period locks, voucher discipline, master data)

• Partner with automation resources to reduce manual work

5. Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Work hands-on with associates and managers

• Coach junior team members into owners

• Build a dependable second line 6. Cross-Functional Authority

• Act as single source of truth for financial data

• Push back on business when processes are violated

• Escalate risks clearly to the leadership

IDEAL PROFILE

Chartered Accountant with 5–8 years of experience Experience building or fixing finance operations in fast-growing environments Comfortable with hands-on execution Strong process and control mindset
