Role Overview

We are looking for a Finance Writer who can simplify complex financial concepts and turn them into clear, engaging, and insightful content for digital and social platforms. This role is ideal for someone who understands markets, money, and business and knows how to communicate it in a way that feels relevant, sharp, and accessible to modern audiences.

The ideal candidate should be able to blend financial accuracy with storytelling, making topics like markets, investments, personal finance, and economic trends easy to understand and interesting to consume across formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and write content on finance-related topics including markets, investments, economy, personal finance, brands, and business trends.
• Translate complex financial information into simple, engaging, and audience-friendly narratives.
• Write scripts and content for digital formats such as short videos, explainers, social posts, and long-form articles.
• Collaborate with content strategists, designers, editors, and video teams to ensure clarity and consistency across platforms.
• Stay updated with market movements, financial news, economic developments, and industry trends.
• Ensure all content is factually accurate, well-researched, and aligned with brand tone and compliance standards.
• Edit and refine content to improve readability, flow, and impact without losing financial accuracy.
• Support the team in developing content calendars and topic pipelines for finance-led brands or platforms.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of finance, business, markets, and economic fundamentals.
• Ability to simplify and explain financial concepts clearly to non-expert audiences.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Strong research and analytical capabilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt tone and complexity based on platform and target audience.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced content environments with tight timelines.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across creative and production teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience writing for financial platforms, business publications, fintech brands, or investment-focused content.
• Exposure to writing social-first finance content, explainers, or video scripts.
• Understanding of compliance-sensitive writing and fact-checking standards.
• Experience working with digital-first or media brands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience as a Finance Writer, Business Writer, or Content Writer with a strong finance focus.
• A portfolio or writing samples showcasing finance, business, or market-related content.
