Financial Accountant

Overview

We're looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to support Tecside's financial operations and ensure the ongoing strength, accuracy, and compliance of our financial performance. This role is central to our business delivering precise reporting and forecasting while supporting both Australian and international entities. You'll work closely with senior leaders, auditors, and suppliers to maintain financial excellence and drive operational improvements.

What You'll Do

• Lead month-end close processes and deliver accurate, timely financial reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, providing variance analysis and insights.
• Assist with audits, financial statements, and compliance requirements (IFRS).
• Prepare monthly reporting packs, BAS, IAS, and ABS submissions.
• Manage reconciliations, fixed asset registers, and cashflow processes.
• Provide commercial insights and guidance to leadership on financial matters.
• Support international entity reporting and foreign currency compliance.

About You

You're a detail-focused and analytical professional who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment. You bring strong accounting knowledge, curiosity for process improvement, and confidence in delivering accurate results.

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, reporting standards, and compliance.
• Experience working with auditors, suppliers, and international entities.
• Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAGE, SAP) and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.
• Excellent communication, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
