Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join their team on a contract basis in Edmonton, Alberta. The ideal candidate is someone who is analytical, proactive, and experienced in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end close and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
  • Analyze, validate, and track financial data for forecasting and budgeting.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare financial reports using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Collaborate with teams to clean and streamline financial data.
  • Support long-range financial modeling and validation testing.
  • Leverage Power BI and Power Query for data analysis and visualization.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and prioritize workflow.
  • Contribute to cost analysis and CapEx tracking.
