Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Auditors to join our State Government client based in Perth CBD. As a Financial Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting audits of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting and auditing standards. Your primary focus will be on researching, analysing client data, completing audit methodology documentation, and analysing evidence.
Responsibilities:
Conduct audits of financial statements, focusing on compliance with accounting and auditing standards. Research and analyse client data to gather relevant information for the audit process. Complete audit methodology documentation to ensure consistent and thorough auditing procedures. Analyse evidence gathered during the audit to draw conclusions and identify areas for improvement. Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and any identified issues. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and clarify any audit-related queries. Stay updated on changes in accounting and auditing standards to ensure compliance in audit procedures. Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, best practices, and improve overall audit quality. Requirements:
Current audit experience, preferably in external audit, demonstrating proficiency in interpreting and applying accounting and auditing standards. Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field. Ongoing pursuit of professional certifications such as CPA, CAANZ, or IPA is desirable. Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse complex financial data accurately. Excellent attention to detail and a thorough approach to auditing. Effective written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey audit findings and recommendations. Proficiency in using auditing software and other relevant tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple audit engagements simultaneously.
