Job Overview
The Controller will serve as the financial integrity lead for client entities, ensuring accurate, reliable, and compliant financial reporting with a strong focus on balance sheet excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing month‑end close processes, leading complex account reconciliations and cleanups, and providing technical guidance to accounting teams. As a senior accounting authority, the Controller will supervise bookkeepers and senior accountants, establish strong financial controls, and act as a trusted advisor to U.S.-based clients and leadership.
Core Responsibilities
- Own and review monthly balance sheets with a zero‑tolerance mindset for inaccuracies
- Identify long‑term financial issues (misclassified liabilities, retained earnings issues, debt errors, AR/AP risk, equity problems) before they become client problems
- Perform and review month‑end close in QuickBooks Online across multiple entities
