Are you a data-driven, systems-oriented Financial Controller? Join us on our modernisation journey, leadingend-to-end financial management for residential and non-residential operations. This is a full-time role based at our corporate office in West Perth.

About the role

Reporting to the CFO, you will be an integral part of our leadership team, leading end-to-end financial management across 25+ residential aged care facilities and an expanding Home Care and non-residential services portfolioacross Western Australia. You’ll also closely partner with operations, clinical governance, and corporate services to enable sustainable growth and quality care outcomes. This role also has seven direct reports, including management accountants, workforce planning and revenue / billing officers.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Lead financial reporting, compliance, and audit outcomes, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, aged care legislation, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, commercial analysis, and cash management, translating operational drivers into financial performance and working capital outcomes
  • Maintain strong financial controls, governance, and risk management across revenue, payroll, balance sheet integrity, and resident funds
  • Partner with executives and operations to deliver insightful decision support, lead the finance team, and improve systems, processes, and data quality

What you’ll bring

The successful Financial Controller will have:

  • A data-driven and systems-oriented approach.
  • Ability to switch between high-level strategy and detailed execution.
  • CA/CPA qualified with significant post-qualification experience in complex, multi-entity environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership of finance teams and end-to-end financial operations.
  • Expert knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and external audit processes.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling skills.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency; familiarity with BI tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in aged care or health services and an understanding of funding models and regulatory settings (highly desirable)
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • 2025 Influenza vaccination (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Clearance from within the past 6 months (or willingness to obtain)
