Financial Controller

We are a fast-growing, mission-driven consumer fintech operating in a large, underserved financial category, backed by strong institutional investors and a seasoned founding team. As we scale nationally, we are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to build and strengthen the finance backbone of the business.

Role Overview

• Own end-to-end accounting, book closure, and financial control
• Lead statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance frameworks
• Drive internal controls, risk management, and governance processes
• Implement and stabilise Zoho Books and lead ERP/process migrations
• Partner closely with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls
• Build and manage a lean finance team (2–3 members initially)
• Support investor reporting and scale-ready finance processes

Ideal Profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
• 7–8 years of relevant experience
• Background in consumer tech, fintech, high-scale digital businesses , or Big 4
• Strong grounding in accounting, audits, and financial controls
• Experience setting up or improving finance systems and processes
• Comfortable in a hands-on, execution-heavy role with ownership
• Startup experience preferred but not mandatory
