MAIN PURPOSE
OF THE JOB:
Provide oversight to the Financial Reporting team ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate and sound financial information to local statutory and regulatory report requirements of the different government agencies.
Ensures the timely delivery of relevant, accurate and quality, insurance and investment accounting reports and data, to address the requirements of various internal and external stakeholders.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Financial Statements preparation
·Establish a well defined closing calendar that outlines key activities and deadlines and oversee the entire closing process to ensure timely and accurate completion
·Final review of financial statements and analytics for submission to local shareholders.
·Final review and sign-off of audited financial statements.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
·Reviews and approves reports for submission to regulatory agencies. (Insurance Commission (IC), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
·Consults with regulatory agencies for clarification on specific provisions of laws and regulations.
Investment Accounting
·Support achievement of FS close deadlines and take part in ensuring the completeness, accuracy and timely delivery of various Investment Accounting related reports including those relating to Unit-Linked transactions to address Local Management and Statutory and Regulatory requirements.
·Review manual journal entries, account reconciliations and reports prepared by the Investment Accounting staff.
·Regular review of internal controls over Investment accounting and recommend change/s to strengthen the controls.
·Lead on the various enhancements on SHIP (Investment transactions platform) and Linkki (cash reconciliation system).
·Regular discussion with Finance process owners and other Division for accounts reconciliation and audit issues monitoring and resolution.
·Provide support and assistance on Investment accounting related requirements for new funds to be launched mainly for unit-linked.
Insurance Accounting
·Oversee timely and accurate reporting of Insurance Accounts
·Ensure ensures timely submission of treaty statement of accounts to reinsurers including payments to reinsurers

Your Profile
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
·Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
·Must be a CPA
·8-10 year of accounting and finance experience in audit firm or any financial institution
·5-6 years of Managerial experience
·Has working knowledge in IFRS and PFRS especially on insurance and investment accounting and reporting standards
·Change management/process improvement experience
·Must have work experience in the insurance industry
·Must have experience in writing commentaries and business insights to financial results
·Proficient in Excel, and any accounting software
·Able to work with cross functional teams
·Keen to details and highly committed
·Strong management and leadership skills
·Assertive, systematic and organized
·Can work under pressure and effective in meeting deadlines
