JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of CTE Administration through the Office of Career & Innovation, proactively perform financial planning, analysis, expenditure management from various decentralized budgets, federal and state grant expenditure management related to internal/external CTE funding sources, federal/state expense reporting, and occasional audit reporting. This includes budget monitoring, actual to budget variance analysis, federal Perkins grant management and voucher reimbursement submission, CDIP grant expenditure management, Colorado Technical Act expense reporting, occasional federal/state audit reporting, and CTE inventory management for all secondary CTE programs. Additionally, this position supports all middle and high schools by managing and providing guidance to all CCSD STEAM Exploration middle school teachers and all CCSD secondary CTE teachers (grades 7-12) per purchase requests and processes as well as annual coordination with all middle/high school bookkeepers per CTA expense reporting. Ability to interact and collaborate effectively across the district, in particular with internal finance partners such as Accounting, Procurement, Accounts Payable, middle school/high school business managers/bookkeepers and other internal partners such as Information Systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following tasks describe the basic functions of the job and represent the type of work performed. They do not constitute an exhaustive list of the duties and responsibilities performed on the job. The following frequencies and percentage of time spent are approximations only and are subject to flexibility dependent on organizational needs.
- Manage, monitor, and create monthly financial planning/analysis reports for related budgets including, but not limited to, CTE decentralized budgets, Concurrent Enrollment budget, CDIP grant awards, Perkins Grant award, etc. [Daily 10%]
- Manage purchase requests and expenditures for all related CTE grants and CTE decentralized cost center accounts in all CCSD middle and high school CTE programs including, but not limited to, OneCard purchasing/maintenance, purchase orders, Warehouse orders, mojo tickets, Oracle management, Quickbooks management, vendor management, etc. [Daily, 60%]
- Coordinate with middle school and high school business managers/bookkeepers to collect and analyze data for CTA expense reporting [annually, 5%]
- Collect and analyze data for Perkins Grant reporting and state voucher submission [Quarterly, 10%]
- Collect and analyze data for state audit reporting [annually, 5%]
- Develop, implement, and manage ongoing process for CTE equipment inventory across all middle school and high school CTE programs in conjunction with Information Systems [Monthly, 5%]
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 5%]
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum amounts of formal education, professional work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities that must be met for a candidate to be considered for a position
- Associate's degree
- Three (3) years of professional work experience with accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated passion for education
- Intermediate Quickbooks, Excel, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint skills
- Intermediate knowledge of accounting (e.g., posting, account reconciliation, account analysis)
- Intermediate written and oral communication skills
- Ability to complete specified training to stay current with Federal and State CTE funding requirements
- Ability to be flexible and adjust to changing priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Any job-related formal education, professional work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, certifications, licenses, and other criteria that are inessential and in addition to the minimum qualifications, certifications, and licenses
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Operations, or equivalent work experience
- Prior accounting and/or bookkeeping experience
- Experience in Oracle
- Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator
- Ability to promote and follow the Board of Education policies, District policies, and building and department procedures, protocols, and guidelines
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
