We are seeking a reliable and experienced Fire Assayer to join our laboratory team based in Malaga, Western Australia. This is a casual position, ideal for someone looking for flexibility while working in a professional laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fire assay processes including flux preparation, fusion, cupellation, and digestion
• Accurately weigh, prepare, and analyse samples in line with QA/QC requirements
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including furnaces and balances
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures and laboratory standards
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Assist with general laboratory duties as required

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Fire Assayer or in a similar laboratory role
• Sound knowledge of fire assay techniques and precious metal analysis
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced laboratory environment
• Good time management and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Forklift licence and/or laboratory qualifications (highly regarded but not essential)
