Fire Protection Engineer

Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES: (with Sr. Fire Protection Engineer oversight)
• Working with third party design vendors and internal stakeholders to develop and review designs in progress to ensure they meet established owner’s design standards, code requirements, local AHJ’s requirements;
• Interdisciplinary coordination of fire protection systems design elements and fire safety code compliance elements
• Coordinating with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams to answer requests for information and value engineering queries;
• Development and oversight of construction documents, code compliance, design and installation standards, water supply evaluation and assessment, testing, inspections, and submittal review.
• Attend meeting with AHJs to document meeting discussion;
• Review of Fire Suppression and Fire Alarm System Construction Submittals (shop drawings, calculations, product data) and research / answer RFIs;
