Burns & McDonnell India has exciting opportunity for Fire Protection Engineer interested in growing
their careers in one of the fast-paced company involved in high tech building design and construction.
We are multi-discipline team that provides engineering services for facilities projects in the North
America region which includes facilities including hyperscale data centers, food & consumer product,
pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, airports, and institutional facilities.
We are looking for an experienced (0 to 2 years, energetic Fire Protection engineer to join our growing Global
Facilities team in Mumbai office to support Fire Suppression, Fire detection & Alarm system and Piping
design activities on projects mainly in North America region. The successful candidate will report to the
mechanical/Fire department manager.
Trainee Engineer Responsibilities:
o Completing all tasks set by the supervisor and assisting wherever possible.
o Observing existing strategies and techniques and offering suggestions for improvement.
o Working closely with team members to foster professional values and build good
relationships.
o Observing health and safety guidelines at all times.
o Attending meetings and workshops.
o Submitting to all forms of evaluation during the traineeship.
o Willing to advance in career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and
organization.
**Qualifications**
Qualifications & Skillsets:
o Bachelor’s degree in Fire / Mechanical engineering, from a recognized institution.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Good communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate
work.
o Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
o Ability to work in a team.
o Good observation skills and a willingness to learn.
* Tools:
o Knowledge of below listed software will be an added advantage.
* Revit
* BlueBeam, Navisworks
* AutoCAD, AutoPipe, Autocad plant 3D, SP3D
* Microsoft Office Tools – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook, OneNote
