Duties & Responsibilities
- Regular maintenance of extinguishers, fire alarms, hydrant systems, fire pumps, and sprinkler systems is essential to ensure they function correctly during emergencies.
- Preparing and adhering to preventive maintenance (PPM) checklists can significantly reduce the risk of fire incidents.
- Conducting fire mock drills is an excellent way to assess the readiness of the establishment and the effectiveness of the emergency response plan.
- Assigning work tasks and providing comprehensive training in life safety and first aid equips staff with the necessary skills to handle unforeseen situations.
- It's also important to manage safety scheduling meticulously and ensure that all safety personnel's certifications are up-to-date, conducting periodic audits to maintain ongoing compliance.
