As a Firefighting Systems Commissioning Foreman, you’ll be responsible for supervising and coordinating all commissioning activities for the data center’s firefighting systems. You will ensure that fire pumps, sprinkler networks, hydrants, and associated fire protection systems are installed, tested, and commissioned according to project specifications, safety standards, and operational readiness requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate commissioning and functional testing of firefighting systems
• Ensure firefighting systems are installed correctly and ready for commissioning
• Execute and witness pressure, flow, and functionality tests of fire pumps, sprinklers, and hydrants
• Coordinate with commissioning engineers, MEP contractors, vendors, and QA/QC teams
• Identify, track, and close commissioning punch list items for firefighting systems
• Ensure compliance with project drawings, method statements, NFPA standards, and safety regulations
• Maintain commissioning checklists, test reports, and handover documentation
• Support final system handover to operations and facilities management teams

Firefighting Systems Scope

• Fire pumps (diesel and electric) and pump control panels
• Sprinkler systems and hydrant networks
• Fire detection and alarm system interfaces
• FM-200 or other clean agent suppression systems (if applicable)
• Water storage tanks and piping systems
• Integration with BMS / EPMS for alarms and monitoring
• Testing of redundancy, failover, and emergency operation

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP commissioning, preferably in a Foreman or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing networks, and associated controls.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and commissioning documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Relevant trade certification or technical engineering qualification preferred.
• Knowledge of commissioning software, tools, and reporting platforms is a plus.
