Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain firewall architectures across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Configure, monitor, and optimize firewall rules, NAT policies, and VPN tunnels.
- Perform firewall audits, rule base cleanup, and policy reviews to ensure security compliance.
- Analyze and respond to firewall-related security incidents and anomalies.
- Collaborate with network and security teams to enforce segmentation and access control.
- Evaluate and deploy next-generation firewall (NGFW) features such as IPS, URL filtering, and application control.
- Maintain documentation for firewall configurations, change management, and incident response.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and firewall technologies.

< Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 9 years of hands-on experience in firewall security and network protection.
- Expertise in configuring and managing firewalls from vendors such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco ASA/Firepower.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, NAT, VPN (IPSec/SSL), and access control mechanisms.
- Experience with centralized firewall management platforms and log analysis tools.
- Familiarity with SIEM integration and threat intelligence feeds.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS).
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as PCNSE, NSE4/7, CCNP Security, or CISSP.
- Experience with cloud-native firewalls (AWS Network Firewall, Azure Firewall).
- Exposure to zero-trust architectures and micro-segmentation strategies.
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation and log parsing.
