Key responsibilities

Assembly and installation: Install and assemble new machinery, equipment, and components using

hand and power tools.

Maintenance and repair: Conduct routine maintenance, inspect equipment, and repair

malfunctioning or broken machinery to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.

Blueprint interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to

understand component specifications and construction methods.

Fabrication: Use tools like shears, power saws, grinders, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and

fabricate structural and mechanical components from raw materials.

Quality control: Inspect fabricated components to ensure they meet the correct size, shape, and

quality specifications.

Safety and compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, company policies, and industry standards at

all times, and ensure equipment compliance with safety regulations.

Collaboration: Work with production teams, engineers, and other colleagues to optimize equipment

performance and troubleshoot issues.

Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements

Essential skills

Proficiency with hand and power tools, including cutting, grinding, and welding equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Problem-solving and critical thinking skills for troubleshooting mechanical issues.

Strong attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy.

Physical stamina to work long hours on their feet and lift heavy parts.

Good communication and teamwork skills
