About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Fitter-Welder (ANZSCO ******) to join our Sydney team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, assembling, and welding metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate, maintain, and repair machinery, piping systems, and structural components.

Key Duties

  1. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.
  2. Fit and assemble metal parts, pipes, and mechanical systems using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  3. Perform TIG, MIG, and arc welding to Australian standards.
  4. Inspect and test completed assemblies for accuracy, strength, and compliance.
  5. Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, piping, and structural components.
  6. Adhere to workplace safety standards and Inline Mechanical procedures.

Skills & Experience Required

  1. Relevant Certificate III Trade (or equivalent overseas qualification).
  2. Demonstrated experience in welding (TIG/MIG/arc) and mechanical fitting.
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  4. Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
  5. Minimum of 3 years’ relevant industry experience.

Salary & Conditions

  1. Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum (depending on experience).
  2. Hours: 38 hours per week, plus reasonable overtime as required.
