Job Description
This position works in the Garage organizational unit. This is technical and administrative work in the development, coordination and implementation of a maintenance and servicing plan for the City’s Engineering fleet vehicles and equipment. An incumbent develops work plans which include preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing, cleaning, overhaul and major repair, new vehicle fleet commissioning, rebuilds, special modifications, warranty servicing and repair, recalls and special projects; forecasts and analyzes labour, materials and supplies, facility space, time, tools and other resource requirements utilizing maintenance management systems, historical records and other data; provides coordinative integration between materials management and garage staff and consults with garage supervisors, mechanics and others in the implementation of plans; prepares and analyses budget data, historical data, forecasts and other information; monitors the progress of programs, establishes...
