Senior Recruitment Consultant at Core Talent
Your new company Your new company is a well‑established, fast‑growing waste‑management organisation operating a sizeable transport fleet out of its Willawong facility. It prides itself on safety, efficiency and delivering reliable service to its customers, while supporting a strong team culture across operations.
Your new role You will manage a fleet of 19 trucks and oversee a team of approximately 20 transport staff. The role requires leading daily fleet operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining a strong safety focus across all activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day fleet operations, scheduling and driver coordination
- Monitor vehicle maintenance, compliance and safety standards
- Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities across the fleet
- Support drivers with issues or queries, including occasional after‑hours calls
- Ensure all transport activities meet legislative and industry requirements
- Lead and mentor a team of around 20 staff
- Report on fleet performance and improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence
- Current truck licence (minimum Medium Rigid )
- Forklift licence
- Experience managing fleets, transport operations or similar environments
- Strong understanding of compliance, safety and maintenance
- Flexibility to assist the team outside standard hours when required
