Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate, smart and driven individual to be responsible for implementing data storage and processing solutions for business analytics. The ideal candidate will have experience translating business needs into reliable and secure data processes using the Azure platform. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to load and transform data for business analytics and system integrations.

  • Assist in improving data processing efficiency under guidance from senior engineers.

  • Assist in monitoring, investigating, and fixing issues in data pipelines and transformations.

  • Actively participate in Agile team activities, including standups, planning sessions, and retrospectives.

  • Adhere to security best practices when implementing data solutions.

  • Provide troubleshooting support and identify root causes for technical issues.

  • Follow established best practices and guidelines to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Support the technical documentation team in preparing necessary materials.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to learn and apply modern data engineering techniques.
  • Experience & Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience with data engineering.

  • Exposure to building and maintaining data pipelines; willingness to learn optimization techniques.

  • Understanding data architecture concepts (e.g., lakehouse)

  • Basic proficiency in Python; familiarity with PySpark is strongly desired.

  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools.

  • SQL Server database development experience.

  • Experience with Azure Data Lake and Blob Storage.

  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and awareness of data security standards (PCI, GDPR, ISO) is preferred.

  • Interest in working with travel-related data; prior exposure is an asset.
